Policeshootminorities.com wants to thank April Jackson the Publisher and Editor of the Humboldt Chronicle in Humboldt Tennessee for answering our e-mail and sending information updating the Roy Glenn Jr shooting.
In Febuary 22,2009 police officers stopped a car that Roy Glenn jr. 29 was a passenger in. Police said Glenn jumped out and ran when officers stopped the car. Officer Paul Carrier chased Glenn to Mitchell Street, where he shot Glenn. The victim was unarmed.

Officer Paul Carrier, 30, of Milan, was indicted on a charge of reckless homicide by a Gibson County grand jury in July.
He is free after posting a $15,000 bond.
The FBI Civil Rights Division conducted a separate investigation in the incident.
Officer Carrier's pre-trial date is February 16, 2010 and his trial will begin March 9, 2010.

The Glenn family and friends held another march Saturday.
I don't know the status of the lawsuit filed by the family.
Until the evidence is presented at trial, I doubt we can learn any of the specifics about the night of the shooting.

It's very messed up when an officer shoot a unarmed BLACK man, he is charged with wreckless homicide which only carries a very very short prison sentence...and is given a $15,000 bond in the state of TN...Let anyone shoot (in the back) and kill a cop, he or she will probably be held without bond for a long long time..So they pasify tha community by making it look like justice is being served when it really isn't. Racism is still alive and well in the Dirty South...
